Training Experience...
A little bit about Jen Basile ... Growing up and living in rural Passaic County NJ has greatly influenced and impacted my love for animals and my passion for dogs.
My family saved two abandoned dogs in 1970 which was my first insight into rescue dogs, I am proud to have had many rescues for over 47 years. With these dogs my experience, skills, and talents for understanding the individual dog has been my greatest strength and has given me the ability to train with compassion and respect.
I have always had a natural intuition for all animals and started working with shelters dogs in 1980. I saw many dogs being “done away with” due to miscommunications between owners and dogs. I decided to make a difference and help these dogs.
There have been several rescue groups over the years that I have been fortunate to be involved with by offering services to evaluate, train, rehabilitate, foster, and help place dogs in the right home.
Captivated by the Belgian breeds back in 1996 I am blessed to share my home with them. Passionate about my dogs and paying it forward I began fostering dogs for Belgian Tervuren Rescue in 2006, each one touching my heart.
